About
Hi, I am Sam Armentrout.
When I relocated to Mid-Coast Maine 36 years ago, I came for a job, not a lifestyle choice.
What was a purely pragmatic move at the time, turned out to be one of the greatest gifts I have been given.
A treasure trove of discoveries awaited: Exceptional beauty, salty air, water water everywhere, glorious beaches, and a view at every turn. Stately elegance of historic homes. Bucolic fields and rolling hills. Picturesque harbors. I was so inspired by Maine’s varied beauty, I later decided I needed to pursue painting to capture its allure. I’ve been working on that…
I was thrilled to find such an idyllic setting so convenient to thriving cultures of art, amazing restaurants, entertainments, and, of course, the society of very good, interesting people.
Guess I was lucky to land in this charming place. A place to call home, to live, work, play, thrive, and raise a family. I now have 3 amazing daughters who are now 20, 22, and 24 – all in college and graduate school. I am happy they spent their childhood in Maine; and if they don’t live close to home, I know they will always be called back by their hearts.
It wasn’t long after buying my 1st home (I was 21), that I decided to transition into the real estate field. That was 30 years ago! I remember the thrill of buying my first home in Bath. I re-live that thrill every time I work with a 1st time home buyer. I hope, with my help, their experience will be as happy and exciting as mine was.
30 years later, I’m still here; still helping people buy and sell houses in this place I love. and still introducing the Mid-Coast area to people who are going to fall in love with it as I did.
Now, I’ve spent most of my adult life in this coastal area. I’ve spent time with its people. I know I’ll never tire of either.
When I am not helping a buyer or seller in their move, I am reading, cooking, gardening, painting, knitting, traveling, & spending the rest of my free time with my patient husband, John.
What a life! Sam Armentrout
P.S. I asked myself this question: “If I were you, why would I work with me?” To read the answer, please go to the menu tab “Why Sam?”
I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional, and because I care.
